Post Office is thrilled to celebrate Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee; recognising 70 years of dedicated service to our country and the Commonwealth.
Serving the nation is at the heart of what the Post Office does as we’re here, in person, for the people who rely on us. With over 360 years of service to the country, the Post Office provides unrivalled access to essential services like sending letters and parcels as well as being part of special moments like distributing the Platinum Jubilee 50p coins from the Royal Mint.
Our branches will be joining in the celebrations up and down the country. With 11,500 Post Offices across the UK, we are bringing the party to every community.
“We have had many customers coming into our Post Office to check that we are going to get the special 50p coin. They don’t want to miss out on this souvenir. I am a Royalist. It is amazing that the Queen has reached her 70th anniversary. I am really looking forward to the celebrations this year.”

Nick Read, Post Office CEO said: “I’m honoured to offer our thanks and congratulations to Her Majesty on behalf of the Post Office for her hard work and service over a phenomenal 70 year reign.
“I know that Postmasters and our branches are excited to celebrate this very special occasion and will be playing their part in community festivities up and down the country.
“For over 360 years we’ve been providing vital services to our customers. From people paying bills to businesses posting parcels or just being there as a friendly face and a community hub, we are proud to serve over 11,500 communities across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland today.”
Around the country, our Postmasters are planning picnics, decorating their branches in royal colours, and even donating Platinum Jubilee coins to local children. Share in the excitement as our branches get ready to bring the Jubilee celebrations to all four corners of the UK.
