Embedding diversity at Post Office

We’re sharing our next steps to embed diversity.

We’re announcing the next steps in making sure our future is an inclusive one.

We’ve listened and now we’re acting: our Post Office Ethnic Minorities group and senior leadership have been working hard over the past months. Now we’re announcing the actions we’ll take to make Post Office a better place to work for black, ethnic minority and all colleagues.

We will:

Gather and monitor data about our ethnic diversity

Using it to measure the success of our diversity initiatives.

Set targets and KPIs for the senior leadership

Raise awareness of BAME issues in the business

Through training, discussion and celebrating our diverse workforce.

Continue to improve recruitment processes

Actively identifying and eliminating unconscious bias

Change our processes to encourage diversity

Ensuring fairness in reward and recognition, and being open about our career pathways

These commitments are based on recommendations from the McGregor-Smith review into issues affecting black and minority ethnic (BAME) groups in the workplace.
