In partnership with her husband Kevin, Postmaster Tina May delivers outreach services across six Wiltshire communities at set times each week.
Postmasters across the UK provide vital outreach Post Office services to other nearby, small communities – visiting at set times each week. These services may be provided in community buildings, shops, or through mobile Post Offices that people can visit.
Tina May, our Postmistress for Christian Malford in Wiltshire, recently received New Year’s Honour recognition for providing valuable services to her community. In partnership with her husband Kevin, Tina also delivers outreach services to five other Wiltshire communities at set times each week – Bromham, Foxham, Brinkworth, Broad Hinton and Avebury.
When the Bromham Village Hall Social Club sadly burnt to the ground, Tina quickly organised for Bromham’s outreach Post Office to move to new premises – The Clubhouse – to maintain the service.
Throughout the pandemic, Tina and Kevin have gone above and beyond to ensure these valuable services remained open, as well as providing free home shopping delivery for the elderly and vulnerable. Their hard work and dedication meant that all six communities continued to have access to essential Post Office services.
Tina and Kevin are just one of a number of examples of Postmasters who dedicate their valuable time to their own and wider communities through outreach services.
