What types of branches do we operate?
We offer different branch formats to meet customer needs:
Main style branches
Modern environments, featuring extended opening hours in many locations. These branches have a dedicated Post Office counter offering customers the full range of products and services during standard hours. In most cases, services are also available at the retail counter, including Post Office Card Account withdrawals and everyday banking during extended shop hours.
Local style branches
Provide a wide range of services from the retail till and are open whenever the shop it is housed within is open.

How do we reach rural communities?
Mobile post offices
Our vehicles visit over 250 rural locations every week. They provide a walk-in Post Office on wheels, complete with an accessibility lift, at set times so customers know when to expect them. Operated by postmasters, these mobile branches bring core services—such as posting letters and parcels, banking, savings, and insurance—to thousands of people in rural locations.
Hosted service
Operates from local venues like cafés, village halls, or community centres on certain days. Customers can access almost all Post Office products and services.
Partner service
Delivered through partners, such as local shops, giving customers access to over 80% of our services during the partner’s opening hours.
Home delivery service
Designed for very small communities. Customers can order a reduced range of products and services by phone, for home delivery or collection at a local drop-in session.
