Corstorphine Post Office has opened today (15/11) at a new location – Hameed's (formerly known as The Refillery), 119b St Johns Road, Edinburgh, EH12 7SB.
There was a community celebration today with Christine Jardine MP cutting the cake to mark the special occasion.
Corstorphine Post Office is still operated by the same postmaster, Muhammad Hameed, who has run the branch since 2015. Muhammad has run the store since 2009.
Muhammed wanted to move the branch from 109-111 St Johns Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6NN to these new premises.
There are three serving positions in total; one screened and one open plan and a Post Office serving point at the retail counter.
There is a wide automatic door and level access at the entrance.
The opening hours are: Monday – Saturday: 9am – 7pm; Sunday: 7am – 5pm.
Parking is Time restricted parking, with no limit Blue-badge holder access, nearby.
A similar range of products and services are still available with the addition of on demand travel insurance.
Post Office Area Change Manager, Steven Simpson, said: “We are delighted that Corstorphine Post Office has move to its great looking new premises in time for the busy Christmas period.”
