A community celebration has been held today (8 May 2024) with the new postmaster for Thornhill Park, Ram Reddy, who marked many improvements to his new Family Shopper store.
Ram took over Thornhill Park Post Office and convenience store at 68 Thornhill Park Road, Southampton, SO18 5TQ, in February, and has just undertaken a refit.
Thornhill Park Post Office is open Monday to Saturday: 8am – 7pm; Sunday: 8am to 2pm. The new longer opening hours include Sunday, Saturday afternoon, and later closing for the convenience of customers.
The convenience store is open Monday to Saturday: 7am – 9pm; Sunday: 8am – 6pm.
The store stocks local meats and other local products to support local suppliers in the area. There is an improved range of coffees, milkshakes, Slushies, fresh vegetables, and wider choice of groceries. The store is now aligned with Family Shopper monthly promotions.
Postmaster Ram Reddy said: “We look forward to welcoming new and old customers to our new store and we offer great customer service. Customers are delighted by the changes and excited by the new ranges on offer including coffees and milkshakes. They also like to look and retail range of my Family Shopper Store and the fact that I have introduced more promotional deals to help their hard-earned money go further.”
This is Ram’s third Post Office and convenience store. The others are in Compton and Chieveley in Berkshire. He looked to see what worked well at his other stores and introduced those changes at Thornhill Park too.
