Ben Coleman, MP for Chelsea and Fulham “cut the ribbon” today (29/7) at the official opening of North End Road Post Office and North End Road Convenience Store.
This is a replacement for Fulham Post Office and this has restored Post Office services to the area at 363 North End Road, Fulham, SW6 1NJ.
New owners Ajinder and Keran Kapoor are already experienced retailers as they also have Wandsworth Bridge Road Post Office in Fulham.
This was the council’s former housing office. The empty premises has been fully refitted to provide a modern retail environment for a Post Office and convenience store.
Ben Coleman, MP, said: “It was great to work with Ajinder and his wife Keran Kapoor on bringing this new post office to North End Road just across from the old one in the former Co-op. Residents will be delighted by the full range of services on offer seven days a week.”
Fulham Post Office closed in September 2023 due to the resignation of the Postmaster. The branch was across the road at 254 North End Road, Fulham, SW6 1NJ.
Post Office opening hours for the full-screened counter are: Monday - Saturday: 9am – 7pm; Sunday: 9am – 5 pm. There are even longer hours for the Post Office counter at the retail counter of: Monday - Saturday: 8am – 10pm; Sunday: 8am – 7 pm.
This provides 95 hours of Post Office service a week for the convenience of customers. This is almost double the previous opening hours of the branch.
Postmaster, Ajinder Kapoor, said: “We opened the new shop a week before North End Road Post Office and the community was very excited about the Post Office re-opening.
“There are no banks in this area anymore, but people can do their personal and business banking here. The location, opening hours and parking make it very handy for customers to also send their parcels, do home shopping returns and so much more, whilst also buying their groceries.”
Coomer Place pay & display car park is located within 100 metres of the Post Office and cheap roadside Pay by Phone parking is nearby. After 6pm parking outside is free.
North End Road Post Office is one of our main style branches, offering a similar wide range of Post Office services will be available as before, except Passport Check and Send.
There is a Post Office full-screened counter and a Post Office serving position alongside the retail counter of the convenience store.
